“Six Steps to Avoid Burnout”

Step 5: Enjoy the Little Things

“A merry heart does good, like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones” (Proverbs 17:22). We must take time to smell the roses. My grandmother would remind us numerous times that life could often times get too busy, that we needed to slow down and enjoy life for a while. As I’ve aged, I’ve seen the wisdom in her words. 

Application: Reflect on this past week. Did you take the time to see the “little things” or did you just see the “big picture”?
