BIBLE READING:  Psalm 1:1-6

How do you measure success? Is it by the size of your salary? How about the size of your home, or the number of possessions you have? Or maybe you measure success by how many friends or clients you have.

How does the Bible measure success? It all depends on how you define success. If your definition of success is “prospering,” then the Bible is very clear on how we can live a life where everything we will do prospers. David tells us, “his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night” (Psalm 1:2). If we do this, “He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers” (Psalm 1:3).

God has given us a plan to be successful wherever we go; yet our problem is we consistently look in the wrong places for it. God has provided all we need to be able to have a successful life.

Application: When was the last time you accessed it?
