BIBLE READING:  John 14:2-3

We all know some coming events for sure, like our birthday, anniversary, Christmas and Thanksgiving. We can and do prepare for those events in our lives. These are events in our lives that we know when they'll be here, and, in most cases, we look forward to them. When we leave this life, all of these events leave our life also.

Just as surely as these events are in your life while on earth, there is an even more important event that will happen. Christ tells us He has gone to prepare a place for us and He will return. Christ’s return is a for-sure thing. The difference in preparing for earthly events is that you know when to start and stop. Preparing for Christ’s return is not on the calendar and has no stop date. We must always be prepared.

Mark 13:3 - "Be on guard, keep awake. For you do not know when the time will come."

APPLICATION: Are you awake?
