Tuesday, "Do Good"

BIBLE READING: Galatians 6. 9-10
DISCUSSION:                                     “Do Good”
If we use all our opportunities to do good, we will become more like Jesus while enjoying the rewarding, good feeling of helping others.  We should do all the good we can, by all the means we can, in all the ways we can, in all the places we can, at all the times we can, to all the people we can as long as we can.  Doing good will develop an inner peace which, comes from being a friend.
We must always keep our motives in check as we do good for others.  We help others out of love; for their good; and because we are commanded to. (Matthew 5:16)  Our good works are to glorify God; not for the praise of others. “Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them; otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven.”  Read Matthew 6:1-4.
We are to emulate Christ in our everyday walk of life.  Acts 10:38 summarizes Jesus’ life, saying, “That Jesus went about doing good.”  What a eulogy.  All wrapped up in one small phrase.  What peace we would feel if the same could be said of us.

Application: Each morning think of someone you can show some goodness, and do it.
