“God is not messing Around”

BIBLE READING:  2 Peter 2
God doesn’t play around!  I hate to sound blunt, but seriously God is not just messing around with this world.  He has given each of us one shot at life.  We all have an opportunity to either obey Him by making the world a better place or contribute to the worlds downfall by living selfishly.  When He is ready, and only when He is ready, He will return to this earth to judge us based on how we have lived our lives.  Peter not only reminds us of that but gives us some viable examples to illustrate it to us.  “For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to chains of gloomy darkness to be kept until the judgment; if he did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah, a herald of righteousness, with seven others, when he brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly; if by turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to ashes he condemned them to extinction, making them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly; and if he rescued righteous Lot, greatly distressed by the sensual conduct of the wicked (for as that righteous man lived among them day after day, he was tormenting his righteous soul over their lawless deeds that he saw and heard); then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment…” (2 Peter 2:4-9).  Again, let me say this as simple as I possibly can; God will judge us!  He will reward those who follow His Word, and He will punish those that do not.  He has given us a tract record that reveals to us that He means business.  Make sure you are prepared for when it happens.
