Woodlawn Family Bible Study

THURSDAY

BIBLE READING:  Proverbs 11.14, Titus 2.9 & Matthew 5.14-16

MAIN IDEA:
“Leading by Following”
DISCUSSION:
The word “counsel” in Proverbs 11.14 means “steerage”.  That means if there is not someone to “steer” the family in the right way, it destined to go the wrong way.
Having someone who is a leader in your family concerning spiritual matters, will help you succeed in your decision to continue these daily studies.  For that leader to appropriately lead, they must first learn how to be a follower of Jesus.  Discuss how we can all learn to lead by following. Also discuss the greater impact of leadership as it relates to Matthew 5.14-16

APPLICATION:
What does it mean to be a “pattern of good works”?  What changes can be made in our lives that will help us lead our family and others to Christ?

Prayer Requests:
