Monday
Each
day is special. Each day is a gift from
God that brings His longsuffering to mind (2 Peter 3:15). The Lord makes each day and we should rejoice
with each one (Psalm 118:24). Every
morning anew brings the Lord’s mercy and kindnesses (Lamentations 3:22-23). Each week begins with the Lord’s Day and each
of these is so very special. But, the
first day of spring is a special day as well.
It brings a sigh of relief to most that another harsh winter has
passed. You might be reminded of Song of
Solomon 2:11-13, “For, lo the winter is past, the rain is over and gone: The
flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the
voice of the turtle dove is heard in the land: The fig tree puffeth forth her
green figs, and the vines with the tender grapes give a good smell”.
A
promise was made in Genesis 8:22. God
promised the seasonal changes. He is
faithful. I have been blessed by the
seasonal changes each of my years on this earth. Spring is eagerly awaited for the things we
know the faithful God provides in this season.
What if it stayed winter for three years? What if you could not know with certainty the
changes in the seasons? God is faithful
(Deuteronomy 7:9). Let us take great
confidence in all areas that related to His faithfulness. Seed produces after its own kind (Genesis
1:11). This relates to our faithful
God. We, too, reap physically and
spiritually as we sow because God is faithful (Galatians 6:7-8). Think of all His precious promises. Even in death, God is faithful (Joshua
23:14).
