Woodlawn Family Bible Study

Friday

BIBLE READING: Hebrews 13: 15, 16

MAIN IDEA:  How do we grow a tender heart in a calloused world?

DISCUSSION:

Part 4 - Look for opportunities to do well.

If we spend our time doing good, evil will not easily enter our lives. Get busy serving God, doing good and you want have time for evil.

Psalm 11:7 The LORD always does what are right, and he loves seeing people do right. Those who live good lives will be with him.

Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in Heaven.

The reward for doing good and doing what is right is great! The way to get that reward is so simple; just follow Gods plan.

Psalm 106:3 Those who obey his commands are happy. They do good things all the time.
Psalm 112:5 It is good for people to be kind and generous and to be fair in business.

By doing good we will reap rewards of – life, loyalty, love, goodness, and honor.

Proverbs 14:22 whoever works to do good will find love and loyalty. It is a mistake to work at doing evil.

Proverbs 21:21 People who try hard to do good and be faithful will find life, goodness, and honor.

APPLICATION:
Hebrews 13:16- And don't forget to do good and to share what you have with others, because sacrifices like these are very pleasing to God.

Praise, prayer, and thanksgiving to God, with good works of love and mercy to man, are the sacrifices which every genuine follower of Christ must offer. These please God and help ground you as a Christian. As a family or individually, plan a good deed for this week.
